The opportunity

As an Expedition Officer, you will be responsible for outsourcing and managing transportation and crane orders. You ensure that requests for outsourcing services, which come from the operations department, are converted into external outsourcing orders. For these requests you will look for suitable transport and/or crane companies that can best execute the order. In doing so, you take into account the quality, safety and profit margin of the outsourced assignments. As an Expedition Officer you will build an international network of transport and crane companies. You strengthen these relationships by maintaining frequent contact and discussing market developments.

• You identify problems and know how to solve them quickly and adequately.
• You make sure that subcontractors are treated well and that they are satisfied with the relationship.

What do we ask from you?

You have at least a Secundary Vocational Education (MBO) working and thinking level and experience in a similar position is a plus. You have good communication and social skills. You master the Dutch language and a second language such as German or English. You are proactive in your communication and have a commercial attitude. You know how to get to work. You have experience with MS-office.
